Terms of use
Last updated: 14 September 2026.
These terms describe what the site offers, what it does not, and what we expect from each other. They are written to be read, not just ticked. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected].
1. Who provides the site
transgen.ro is made and run by Elisa Ganea, a private individual, on a non-commercial basis. We are not a law firm, a clinic, an association or a public authority. Contact: [email protected].
By using the site you accept these terms. For the draft generator we also ask for an explicit acceptance before you start, because there you give us sensitive data and receive a text you could file in court.
2. What you will find here
- Guides. Legal and medical procedures explained step by step, written from the experience of someone who went through them. They are general information, not an analysis of your situation.
- Document templates. Claims and statements used in real cases, with explanations. You may use them freely for your own case.
- Celeste, the automated assistant. Celeste is a program built on a language model (artificial intelligence), not a person. She answers using the text published on this site and shows you where the information came from. She can be wrong.
- The draft generator. An experimental tool which, from what you tell it, prepares a draft claim for legal gender recognition. The draft is a starting point for you and, ideally, for a lawyer.
Everything on the site is free. Donations are voluntary and buy nothing extra (see section 9).
3. Not legal or medical advice
- We do not give legal advice. Nobody on this site is a lawyer or acts as one. The guides, Celeste’s answers and the drafts are general information and working texts, not a legal opinion on your case. No lawyer–client relationship and no representation is created.
- We do not give medical advice. What is written here about treatments, assessments or medication describes a path, it does not recommend one. Medical decisions are made with a doctor.
- The draft is yours, and so is the responsibility for what you file. The draft is generated automatically, nobody reads it before you see it, and it may contain errors, omissions or wording unsuited to your situation. You decide whether to use it, how to change it and whether to file it. We recommend showing it to a lawyer first; organisations such as ACCEPT or MozaiQ can help you find one.
- The law and court practice change. We try to keep the guides current, but we cannot guarantee that what you read reflects the situation on the day you read it. Check before you act.
- No invented deadlines, fees or references. Celeste and the generator are built not to invent deadlines, fees, statute articles or case law. Where they lack the information, they leave a blank to fill in. If you do see a figure or a reference, verify it.
You may represent yourself in court or hire a lawyer. That choice is yours and we do not make it for you.
4. Celeste
- Celeste is an automated assistant. We say so here and in the chat, so there is no doubt that you are talking to a program.
- She answers only from the content published on the site. If something is not in the guides she tells you she does not know, rather than guessing.
- She does not analyse your case in the public chat and does not tell you your chances. That is what the draft generator is for, with its own rules.
- She is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or in crisis, call 112 or a support line.
- The public chat conversation is not saved on the server. The text of your messages reaches the language model provider so that an answer can be generated, as described in the Privacy policy.
5. The draft generator
To use the generator you must:
- Be at least 18. Age is checked from the date of birth you give. Under 18, the generator does not start. Minors and their parents can use the guides and ask an organisation or a lawyer for support.
- Accept explicitly, before starting, that you are getting a draft and not legal advice, and that your data, including data concerning health, will be processed as the Privacy policy describes.
- Give truthful information and upload only documents you have the right to use. If you propose witnesses or mention other people, it is your responsibility to tell them and to have their agreement.
- Not use the generator on someone else’s behalf without that person’s knowledge and agreement.
What you get: a draft in text form, with a header stating clearly that it is a
draft and not legal advice, with places marked [DE COMPLETAT] where
information is missing, and an indicative review of the case. The header is
part of the draft and is kept in every export format; we do not offer a version
without it.
The draft is yours. We claim no rights over it and use it for nothing other than showing it to you and keeping it for you, for the period described in the Privacy policy.
The generator may be limited, paused or switched off at any time, including because it is experimental. If that happens while you are working, we say so on the page.
6. Your session and the resume key
- The generator conversation is tied to a cookie in your browser. If you lose it (another browser, another device, cleared data) you lose access to the conversation, but not the data on the server, which stays for the period described in the Privacy policy.
- You can save your progress with your email address: you receive an 8-character key. The key and the address are the only way back in. Keep them. Whoever has them can open your conversation, so give them to nobody.
- “Start from scratch” closes the conversation and invalidates the key. It does not delete the data on the server; for that, write to us as described in the Privacy policy.
- A session is kept for 365 days from your last activity, after which its content is deleted automatically.
7. The doctor directory
The directory is a public list of doctors, built by visitors, with reviews written by them too. We host it; we do not write it.
We recommend nobody. Being on the list is not a guarantee, a check on anyone’s competence, or a recommendation from us. The list is alphabetical, not a ranking, and nobody pays to be on it or to be higher up — not now and not later.
If you write a review, you confirm two things, separately, before sending it: that you went to that doctor yourself and that what you wrote is true and is your own experience, not someone else’s and not in exchange for anything; and that you agree to us publishing the text. What you write is your responsibility. You can be critical — people have the right to say they were treated badly — but:
- do not state as fact anything you cannot stand behind, above all accusations of crimes or serious misconduct;
- do not name other patients and do not write details that would make them recognisable;
- do not give anyone’s contact details;
- do not write about the doctor’s religious or political beliefs;
- do not write on anyone else’s behalf, and do not write paid or retaliatory reviews.
If you add a doctor, add only information that is already public somewhere and give us the link. Without a link we do not publish the entry.
What happens to what you send. An automatic filter reads the review before it appears. What passes is published straight away, without anyone here reading it; what is held back is read by a person. We can delete any review, at any time, without owing you an explanation — but we will tell you why if you ask.
If you are the doctor on the page. Write to [email protected]. We will take the entry down on request, in almost every case without argument. If you dispute a particular review — you say it is false, or that the person was never your patient — we look into it; if we cannot verify it, we delete it. We keep the author’s email address precisely so that we can look into it, but we will not give it to you: if you want the author’s identity, you need a court order.
If you see something wrong, every review has a report button. You do not need an account. We will tell you what we decided and why.
8. What you may not do
So that the site stays open and free for everyone:
- Do not send repeated, meaningless or burst messages, and do not try to get around the usage limits, the bot check or the rules Celeste works by.
- Do not try to get from Celeste or the generator something they are not built to give: advice on other procedures, output without its warnings, information about other people.
- Do not upload documents that are not yours or that you have no right to use, and do not upload malicious files.
- Do not use the site to harass, threaten or discriminate.
- Do not scrape the site and do not use it to train other models.
- Do not try to access other people’s sessions, the admin area or the infrastructure.
Messages that break these rules may be refused automatically, and the connection or the session may receive a pause or a suspension, as described in the Privacy policy. A suspension is lifted only by us, on a reasoned request sent to [email protected].
9. Copyright
The text of the guides, the pages and the answers in the questions section is written by the site’s author and belongs to her. You may read it, save it for yourself and quote it with attribution. Do not republish it in full and do not present it as your own.
The document templates are provided precisely to be used: you may fill them in, change them and file them for your own case, without restriction.
Drafts generated for you are yours.
Celeste’s name and avatar are part of the site and may not be used to suggest a connection with us that does not exist.
10. Donations
The site can be supported through donations, via an external service (Buy Me a Coffee). A donation is voluntary, is not payment for a service, unlocks nothing and creates no obligation on our part. The external service has its own terms and privacy policy; we do not receive your payment details.
11. Third-party services
To work, the site uses a few providers, described in detail in the Privacy policy: hosting, the provider of the language model behind Celeste, the bot check, the sending of the resume-key email and technical error reporting. Links to other sites are offered as help; we are not responsible for their content.
12. Liability
The site is offered “as is”, free of charge, by one person. We do everything we can for it to be accurate, working and safe, but:
- we do not guarantee that the information is complete, accurate or current, nor that a draft suits your situation or will be accepted by a court;
- we do not guarantee that the site is available without interruption or error;
- we are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of what you read here or for the outcome of a case, whether you used the draft as generated or changed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing restricts the rights you have as a data subject or, where applicable, as a consumer.
13. Changes
The site, Celeste, the generator and these terms may change. The date at the top of the page says when they were last updated. A change that matters to people using the generator is announced on the generator page. If you disagree with a change you can stop using the site and ask for your data to be deleted.
14. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Romanian law. We try to resolve any disagreement directly first: write to [email protected]. Failing that, the competent courts are those of Romania.
For your personal data you have the right to complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro); the details are in the Privacy policy.
15. Contact
For anything about these terms, the content of the site, or to report a mistake in a guide: [email protected].
